Tattoo - Sexy Angel

I was asked to design an original tattoo portraying a "sexy angel".  My design was well received and when the ink was completed on the requested parties, they were more than satisfied.

Celtic Gardens

Celtic Garden Imports worked with my company and I to design, develop and launch an updated website to display their award winning show gardens. I designed and developed the site using a mix of technologies to accommodate their wonderful photography and press items. The website features a content management system to help them easily update their news articles as well as maintain their photo galleries at their convenience.

Applied Environmental

Applied Environmental contacted my company to design and build a website for their new business.  They requested a website that represented a "clean and beautiful environment."  My vision was to use a large background image and the client was overjoyed at the direction in the initial mockups. I also installed a custom gallery to document and display their projects in an organized manner.

American Divorce Association for Men

Doug at the American Divorce Association for Men worked with me to design and develop an updated website for their group of lawyers.  My design was approved and work began in early fall of 2010.  Shortly thereafter, the redesigned site was launched and received many positive reviews from staff and clients both.

Kaufman Children's Center

In 2007, Kaufman Childrens Center hired my company to build a website that was designed by an affiliate of ours.  It was my job to convert the approved design into the interactive website.  Since it's completion, I have been responsible for numerous updates which include design changes, module development and general system upgrades.

The owner of Sean O'Callaghans Pub of Plymouth contracted us out to redesign their website.  I lead the initial design phase creating a wireframe and mockups that met the clients expectations in user experience as well as capturing the "feel of the establishment."  I was also responsible for the full development of the website.

Fox Hills Golf & Banquet Center

In 2008, I worked on a team to re-design the Fox Hills Golf & Banquet Center website.  After designing basic mockups and storyboards, I lead the development team on it's construction.  Since launch, I was the main contact for all updates and maintenance to the site including a full upgrade in late 2010.  This site has many features including a custom ecommerce solution, league registration and event reservation systems.  Hundreds of people use their registration system on a regular basis which made for easy management as well as providing an eco-friendly solutoin.

Our client Vital Skills International contacted my company about designing and building a blog that would expand on their corporate website.  I was the lead on the design with full creative control granted from the client.  The development was also my responsibility and the finished product was met with wonderful responses from the client and its affiliates.  I also created their logo.

Humpsgiving

A local promotion company contracted me to design a flyer for their annual, Thanksgiving eve, event.  Since it's held on a Wednesday and features 'booty' and 'ghettotech' music they requested a "suggestive, yet tasteful, Thanksgiving theme".  The design was featured in local publications, establishments and, of course, thousands of flyers.

Hump - Movement 2009

A local promoter contacted me to design a flyer for their event for the Detroit Movement festival in May of 2009.  This was an 'official' sponsored event for the festival and the design was featured in the festival program, local publications, flyers and posters.

1800WATCHES - Branding

I designed and develop the 1800WATCHES logo and imaging for print materials, signage and web branding.

Hump your Valentine

A local promotion company contracted me to design a flyer for their Valentine's day event.  The design was printed on flyers, posters and local publications.

Stray Cat - Interface

I designed this site as an upgrade to the client's previous website and created a custom logo.  I also worked on the development team for the site which includes a mobile version.  The site features a custom news module, media center and extra care was used to make sure the website was search engine friendly.  The website ranks very well for the client's needs.

Sharp Trophies by Mack, a family-run business, contracted me to design a logo based off there outdoor sign that was designed many years prior.  They were impressed with the logo design result and use it on all their new marketing media.

This logo was originally hand drawn and scanned into Adobe Illustrator and then touched up for a freelance client.

StepHouse Recovery

We were contracted to design and develop an updated website for this treatment center located in southern California.  I designed a website based on numerous example websites and the wire frame provided by the client.  Launched in early 2011, the site is optimized for search engines targeting phrases and keywords in our research.

My Business Cards

I recently redesigned my personal business cards using high contrasting sides and rounded corners.  The scheme matches my current web portfolio site down to the custom pattern and colors.  The information side is a matte-finish while the pattern side is high-gloss.  Recipients always remark on my cards.

Global Hue

Global Hue contracted my company to develop and launch a corporate website to showcase their organization and projects. I designed and developed the site using a mix of technologies mostly Flash Actionscript 3. The website features a content managed news and information system via xml to help them easily update their site.

DEMF - Branding Contest

In 2009, Paxahau presented an open contest for the branding design for the Detroit Electronic Music Festival.  My entry received hundreds of votes and was among the finalists.

HOWB - Seasonal Marketing

The House of Watchbands contracted my to manage their seasonal marketing campaigns.  I was responsible for in-store signage, coupon mailers, email marketing, billboards and newspaper/magazine design. The client was very happy with the results and some item are used regularly every season.

Official iHeater - Marketing Promo

Our client OfficialiHeater.com contracted myself out to develop a holiday-themed animation/video with a promotional code that they could upload around the web.  The promo-code was widely viewed, and used, which ranked high on both youtube.com and vimeo.com.

Underwood Nursery - UI Design

I was responsible for the user interface design of a redesign for a current client with our company.  The design was well-received and is still in use today.  They have since used the design for many of their print marketing materials.

Due Venti - UI Design

This small local diner asked me to design a website that matched their restaurants interior 'feel'.  They were amazed with the graphic design result.  The website features colors, foliage and paintings that are featured inside their restaurant.

Kales Detroit - Interface

The owner of this beautiful building in downtown Detroit has been working with me to redesign their current website (kales.co) to an updated look and technologically advanced version.  Their main concern is making the site look and feel as elegant as their building is, both inside and out.  This is a small snippet of the current design state and we're shooting for a summer 2011 launch date.

Lewis Jewelers - Interface

I have done multiple updates to this e-commerce site including this most recent version in November 2010.  There were subtle changes to the UI to help target their demographic which was women 35-55.  I also created many of the original banners for the website which they change in-and-out during certain seasons or promotions.

Scout Adventures - UI

A start-up company to service the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America contracted my employer to design and build an easy-to-use directory system of potential scout destinations.  They had some example sites that they liked which mostly consisted of themed-parks and travel sites however they were consistent in their thought that the site should be bright and minimal.  I was the lead designer on the project and worked directly with the clients to develop the current user interface including the search and mapping system, listing pages and other modules.  They were more than impressed with the results.

Redesigned in 2009, a majority of the graphics, animations and interface was designed by me.  Some items were added over the course of that year however a majority of the updates stopped in early 2010 when we began ideas for a re-design.

My company was contracted to design a website for the Pontiac Silverdome to provide event information, ticket purchasing and venue information.  They provided a list of features and a few example sites for reference and I was able to design a custom website interface that they loved.

Vain Detroit - Event Promo

I was contacted to create some promotional materials for the client's memorial day weekend events.  I designed flyers, wristbands and posters for the events.  The design was featured in local print publications, establishments and in the venue.

Michigan Aerospace - Video

My company was contracted to produce and edit a video to the Michigan Aerospace Foundation's potential donors viewable in a private web-portal.  I was provided a non-liner video of footage shot on-site at the museum.  I captured, edited and produced for the web a video using the guidelines provided by the client.

TPG Historic - Branding

I was contacted by a client to design and develop a logo and branding for a preservation company.  They requested an elegant and professional logo with the only other request to utilize a deep red somewhere.  The result is a single-letter symbol featuring a column, grid lines and text.  The client was excited by the results and uses it on all business related material.

CWM Group - Branding

I was contacted by a local branch of Capital Wealth Management Group LLC. to design business cards and other items for their representatives.  They provided a low-res version of the logo which I converted to a vector graphic and granted me creative control over the design. They were more than happy with the results.

Caring Hands - Logo

An at home care agency contracted my company to design and develop a logo and website for their business.  I designed and developed the logo which amazed the client.

BCBSM - Medicare 2012

In the summer of 2011, I worked on the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Medicare website for the 2012 plan year.  I headed the usability testing where pre-screened users were brought in to test the previous Medicare website.  Following this usability testing I presented a report of deficiencies and recommended updates.  Once approved, I began the development of the 2012 website which launched October 1st, 2011.  This website follows strict corporate web standards as well as government medicare regulatory standards.

93.1 Dance

As an intern with the radio station, I was responsible for creating the branding for a new dance music segment.  The show was broadcast from a remote location.  My design was used on promotional posters, flyers and the website.

93.1 WDRQ - Radio

I was the producer for the night show on this FM radio station that aired on weeknights from 7-11pm in Detroit.  My duties included show prep, answering calls, handling contests, recording segments and interviews, editing audio and production of commercials.
